Jackson Hole '08

Well the annually Tarbet family trip to Jackson Hole has already come and gone. It is always too quick! We drove up monday and shopped and ate and shopped and ate. We didn't go to Bar J Wranglers this year which I have decided just tops of the Jackson experience so we will definitely be going next year. Then we woke up bright and early and floated the snake river. Of course, we ate some more and then came home. Good times...

Sorry, the picture is tiny and blurry.

Creations

Some people have showed some interest in Hooter hiders and slings. I make both pouch slings and ring slings. I have also been making burp cloths using matching fabrics. I can do matching hooter hiders and slings with burp cloths that all match. Basically I can do whatever you want. The price just varies according to how much I had to spend on the fabric. Here are some pictures of the fabrics I have. I will try to steal a child to use to take some pictures so you can see what they actually are. Or just google any of the products and you will find a ton of pictures.

If you have any questions or want something email me at jesstarbet@yahoo.com or just leave me a comment.

This is a folded up ring sling. They are adustable so they fit anyone. They are sturdy enough for a newborn up to 35 lbs.

This is a hooter hider or breastfeeding cover up. It has a strap that ties around your neck and then boning in the neck so that you are the only one that can see your baby. I also added a little terry cloth pocket in the bottom corner.

Here are some fabrics I was able to get on sale.

This fabric is black with a very light floral design. It is not as pronounced as it is in the picture.

Memories....

I have had so much fun responding with memories on other people's blogs I figured I would try it on my own.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, or if you just met me, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

The Bee's

I think we have started a new family tradition! Last year we went down to a Bee's game with Kade's family and we had a really good time, so we decided to go again. Brynly was pretty pumped! Why is it that at baseball games there is always at least one loud, crazy, maybe a little bit drunk guy sitting near you? I guess I have to admit that I find it quite entertaining so I'm not complaining. Also, we were sitting behind the relief pitchers and they quietly came over to Jaxon and Brynly and gave them each a ball. It was awesome they were so excited. Anywho, just wanted to give a shout out to the Bee's. Always a good time!

The last few weeks...

My EC, Amy and her husband Justin were able to flee their home in Florida for big MB's wedding and it was awesome to see them. Marybeth's wedding was so nice and we are so excited for you both! Mckay is a lucky man! Too bad my battery died right after this picture so I wasn't able to get any pics with the actual bride! Hearts!!

The fourth of July was awesome. Lewiston is the ultimate small town fourth of July. We started the softball tournament earlier in the week and were undefeated until the fourth. I had to go to work after the parade and missed all of the vendors at the carnival. I love buying stuff at carnivals everything is such a deal! Anyway I got off work on time to watch the Foster/Tarbet team play in the championship game and win. I also came up with a new strategy when playing softball. The chances of me hitting the ball and making it to first base before the ball does are slim to none. In softball pitching in the strike zone is pretty difficult. So, I stopped even attempting to hit the ball and walked everytime but once. It was pretty amazing. I highly suggest it to anyone who shares my struggle with athleticism. After the softball tournament we set out our blankets for the awesome Lewiston fireworks. I'm pretty sure the entire budget for the city goes to the fireworks. It turned out to be a wonderful fourth!

The last year I have been trying to fulfill my mother's every dream by learning how to sew. I have finally been able to make some things that I actually feel comfortable showing. If anyone is in need of a ring sling or a hooter hider I would be more than happy to make one for you cheaper than you can buy them. A couple weeks ago I actually figured out how to make them so I am pretty pumped. If anyone wants pictures of them let me know I have a couple made already that I am ready to sell.

Well girls camp was awesome! Kade doesn't believe me but I honestly love girls camp. We went to Heber Valley Girls camp which is unbelievable. It is pretty amazing to belong to a church that will spend so much time and money on a group of adolescent girls! All I know is that when I went to girl's camp as a girl we were in tents in the middle of no where and it always seemed to rain!

More Pictures

Sorry it took so long, I was at girls camp. Well, continuing on.... We spent a few days in the Midlands area... Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley and some other places. This is where Kade served his mission so we got to visit a few of the families and they were so much fun. We also went to church with one of the families. They made us an awesome meal, one of the best we had in England! It was great getting to know them and their awesome kids! We then went to Manchester, Liverpool, Wales, Bath and then back to London to come home.
